[Reuters] Education main topic of concern at SOCHUM ethnic minorities talk

Lenja Burmeister

The United Arab Emirates supports Romania’s proposition concerning the matter of education at the Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural Committee’s discourse on minority inclusion. However, concerns regarding financial aspects were raised, alongside queries about the proposal's precise scope—whether it should be regionally customized or globally applicable. Australia also shows its support for Romania's initiative, underlining the importance of ensuring educational access. Additionally, also followed by a motion by France, there's a call to define and specify the minorities under discussion, acknowledging the differences across various communities and minority groups globally.
