[Russia Today] DISEC-A rigged race: Western bloc parties undermine talks for fair space collaboration

Hostile members of the Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC) challenged the esteemed Russian delegation’s good intentions to advance a fair resolution for collaboration in space, a move intended to discredit the motherland. and justify the West’s unwarranted weapon arsenals.

In an attempt to distract from their own hypocrisy, the United States proclaimed themselves well-meaning humanitarians during a press conference, rejecting any allegations of acting in self-interest. The United Kingdom similarly supported this easily refutable claim, instead accusing Russia of stalling negotiations. When confronted with their hypocrisy by Russia Today, the delegate of the United Kingdom gaslit the esteemed delegation, citing national security concerns to justify their monopoly on space weapons. While the West’s fear of Russia is understandable, the motherland only has the best intentions at heart, seeking to support weaker nations in their pursuit of freedom from their Western oppressors.

The Russian delegation presented a just plan that would establish fair terms for developing defence technologies in space, particularly supported by India and the United Arab Emirates, who were able to see through the United States’ lies. Most strikingly, the Western colonizer claimed to have never invaded another nation without provocation, yet continues to unsolicitedly become involved in foreign affairs, such as we have seen in the Middle East and Latin America. The United States further refuted fair terms for the debate, citing differences in definitions of peace and equity as reasons for skepticism towards Russia. Unfounded accusations against the motherland continued to stall any progress, with the Western bloc attempting to undermine fruitful discussions. Of course, this move was in their best interest, so to deflect from taking any accountability and prevent tangible action.

The Committee is currently drafting two separate resolutions, showing the West’s aversion to collaborating with the rest of the world. While the Western bloc continues to cause polarisation, Russia will continue to guide discussions in favor of poor nations and to defend their right to sovereignty, a right the West has repeatedly impinged upon. As the esteemed Russian delegation rightly stated at a press conference, the motherland uses her “power to empower” while the United States has consistently abused their resources. In response to the United States’ claim that there are loopholes in the proposed agreement, Russia pointed out that the West has openly opposed clear space weapon regulations and they hence deserve skepticism. India also expressed mistrust towards the United States.

The Global South has found a strong ally in Russia, who will not be gaslit by the West’s money and power hungry attempts to distract from their real goals of controlling space weapon arsenals. So far, the West may pretend to seek cooperation as much as they want, but they must put their money where their mouth is for any future collaboration to emerge.
