[Associated Press] Urgent Call from Grandfather Raises Concerns Over Food Security

During the afternoon session at APEC, the delegate of Australia received an urgent call from their grandfather. The delegate was heard frantically referring to a farm and asking about their grandfather's safety. The call was then cut abruptly. AP reached out to Australia to get more information on the situation.

The safety of Australia’s grandfather is unknown at this time.

This caused commotion in the otherwise peaceful committee, sparking conversation about the individual-scale effects of food security. Australia is firm that it plays a big role in ensuring a more advantageous position on this topic for all present states. Further, they expressed their gratitude to all member economies for joining to tackle this topic diplomatically. Australia ended the note with #savegrandpa

In response to this situation, the delegation of Vietnam emphasizes the importance of food security within this committee, particularly at the individual level. Conversely, they stated that the individual loss of a farm cannot be attributed to the issue of food insecurity, but probably has more to do with individual management issues.

The safe return of the grandfather is held in great regards by AP.
