[Reuters] “We need a European Union!” Passionate speech from Ursula von der Leyen at the EP

The third day of debate in the European Parliament was marked by a flash appearance by the President of the European Commission, following the hang-up preventing the different Parties from finding consensus on collective bargaining and the UBI. Mrs. von der Leyen delivered a strong speech, emphasizing on the importance of a “truly united European Union”. The speech was received warmly by all delegations as it is clear that a constructive mindset is needed in order to advance social integration in Europe.
