[Reuters] BRICS+- Despite presenting a united front, leak suggests internal turmoil between Kazakh reps.

Earlier this morning, Reuters received an anonymous tip that there may be a coup brewing “from deep within the territories of the Republic of Kazakhstan.” These rumors are substantiated by apparent tensions between President Kassym-Jomart Tokayec and Foreign Affairs Minister Murat Nurtleu in regards to a complication in transportation to the BRICS+ conference. The president is claimed to have not extended an invitation to the foreign minister to fly to Maastricht in their private jet, instead the foreign minister had to arrive by train.

Regardless of these alleged internal tensions, the partner country of Kazakhstan continues to challenge the member countries of BRICS+. Being a prominent advocate for hydro-electric and nuclear power initiatives to promote infrastructure building, Kazakhstan defies the authority of member states including the Russian Federation and Brazil.

There is yet to be a confirmation for the source and authenticity of this leak.
