[Politico] France pushes from nuclear energy in debate about green energy sources

The debate around green energy sources in the Council of the European Union was pushed towards nuclear power by France today, raising concerns about safety of the technology. 

Italy pointed out the necessity to include support for low income families in any move towards more green energy. 

A coalition seems to be forming around France, experts say, which has been pushing for further development and adoption of nuclear power production. Small-scale short-term nuclear power plants were discussed as well as issues of safety with the controversial technology.
