[Politico] Dispute between left and far-right at EP over cultural diversity

Talks between parties, namely the far-right Identity and Democracy (ID) and left-leaning Socialists and Democrats (S&D), were heated in the European Parliament on Friday, with the latter citing protection of citizens as one of the benefits that cultural diversity could bring to members of the Union. S&D was unable, however, to coerce the right wing parties, when it failed to elaborate when pressed on the specifics of its benefits by ID representatives.
