After three days of productive and deliberative advancements, the African Union is on the brink of finalizing and publishing both a draft resolution and a communique.
The draft resolution, sponsored by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Algeria, Mauritius, and Liberia, outlines a framework to promote stability, mediation, and interdependence (SMI) throughout the African continent. Despite a wide consensus on the framework, further deliberations will have to resume on the role of the African Standby Force (ASF).
