Ella is a 21 year old German-American third year student at UCM, currently on her semester abroad in Peru, but will be returning to Maastricht in January. At UCM she studies global conflicts, with a side focus on gender-based violence and philosophy. Creatively she is most passionate about street photography as capturing the uniqueness and beauty of others helps her make sense of the world (and makes her happy too)! As well as photography, she is very passionate about journalistic writing and loves bringing her investigative instincts to the Diplomat in her writing of geopolitical investigative pieces/reports, investigative pieces in a Maastricht Context and more creative leaning pieces where she hopes to include her photography and the occasional opinion piece.
