Meet Sophia Yazdani Biuki (she/her)! Sophia is a third-year GlobalStudies student from Austria with an Iranian background and is particularly interested in matters related to gender equality, empowerment and peacebuilding. She is always up to discuss matters surrounding identity politics and period stigma and is looking forward to exploring more about all of the above during her time at the Maastricht Diplomat. When Sophia is not reading a book or trying out a new recipe in the kitchen you will probably find her picnicking somewhere in the sun or at one of Maastricht’s many cafés.
