[Reuters] Council of the European Union begins amendment procedure for legislation on energy supply

The Council of the European Union reconvened on Saturday to commence the amendment procedure for their commission proposal. Debates have arisen over the intricacies of articles one, two, and three. However, the council did agree to scrap a section in article three over the European Commission holding the power over a member state's resources if a certain deposit of a resource is large enough to be extracted.
